LS119-P 6-Channel NoBounce IC with Handshake – PDIP

The LS119 is a 6-channel IC offered in a 14-pin, 300 mil wide PDIP (LS119-P) or a 150mil wide
SOIC (LS119-S) package.

The LS100 Series incorporates LogiSwitch’s proprietary NoBounce™ adaptive debounce logic and powerful handshake protocol for carefree, bounce-free, delay-free, and poll-free operation.

Adaptive debounce expands the debounce cycle to fit switch bounces of any duration without the use of external passive components or user-provided timing components. It is implemented using high-speed internal clocking and advanced bounce monitoring.

A feature exclusive to LogiSwitch is the immediate output change with no delay on either actuation or release of the switch. The normally low device output mirrors the normally high switch input in non-handshake cycles except for the bounce.

The LogiSwitch Handshake

• All NL/HS "output" pins (normally low/handshake) are actually I/O pins which allow communication in both directions between the LS100 Series device and the host processor.
• A simple handshake may be executed when the host sends a single 5 µ acknowledgment pulse back to the device to terminate the cycle.
• The handshake eliminates the need for the host to poll for switch release to end the cycle.
• The handshake provides several advantages when used in interrupt-driven switch service routines.

Note that the NL/HS pin functions as a normal active-high output when the handshake is not issued by the host.
